How to choose filter material in water treatment?
Filter material is a general term for water treatment filter materials, mainly used for the filtration of domestic sewage, industrial sewage, pure water and drinking water.
Filtering media are mainly divided into two categories, one is granular materials used for water filtration in water treatment equipment, usually refers to quartz sand, gravel, anthracite, pebbles, manganese sand, magnetite filter media, Nutshell filter material, foam filter beads, porcelain sand filter material, ceramsite, garnet filter material, medical stone filter material, sponge iron filter material, activated alumina ball, zeolite filter material, volcanic rock filter material, granular activated carbon, fiber Ball, fiber bundle filter material, comet fiber filter material, etc.
The other type is the physical separation of filter media, mainly including filter cloth, filter screen, filter element, filter paper and the latest membrane.
Today, let's take a look at the working principle and characteristics of filter media in water treatment.

Fiber ball filter material for sewage treatment
fiber ball filter
The fiber ball filter material is made of fiber filaments. Compared with the traditional steel particle filter material, it has the advantages of good elasticity, no floating on the water surface, large pores, small head loss, acid and alkali resistance, and regeneration. ;During the filtration process, the gap of the filter layer gradually becomes smaller along the direction of the water flow, the filtration speed is fast, and the pollution interception capacity is large. Filtration equipment suitable for direct filtration, used for high standard water use in electric power, oil field, chemical industry, metallurgy, electronics and other industries, as well as recycling and utilization of circulating water, side filtration water and waste water. Its physical and chemical properties are shown in Table 1.
Working standard
1. Appropriately control the filtration rate according to the amount of incoming water and the turbidity of the precipitated effluent to ensure the water quality after filtration. If the amount of incoming water is too large, it will affect the performance of the fiber ball filter material.
2. Observe the turbidity, pH value, residual chlorine, and head loss of the incoming and outgoing water every 1 to 2 hours, and fill in the daily production report correctly.
3. Responsible for the opening and closing and flushing of the fiber ball filter material filter and the elimination of various accidents;
4. Do a good job of primary maintenance, cooperate with secondary maintenance and participate in the overhaul of the fiber ball filter material filter.
5. Maintain close contact with dispatching, primary and secondary pumping stations, and operators of adding catch and alum, and adjust relevant operations in a timely manner.
