Why ceramsite filter media can be widely used in sewage treatment?
The ceramsite filter material is a water treatment filter material made of clay, pore agent, viscous solvent, ball milling, screening, molding, calcination, etc. It is widely used in sewage treatment. In recent years, with the intensification of human activities and the gradual expansion of production scale, the discharge of domestic sewage and industrial wastewater has led to a gradual increase in the content of ammonia nitrogen, heavy metals and organic pollutants in water. Discharge of untreated sewage into water can affect health and the environment; excess ammonia nitrogen can lead to water eutrophication, which seriously affects the survival of aquatic organisms. Organic matter has a strong adsorption capacity and is easily enriched by biological adsorption, resulting in biological death. Due to the long-term retention in organisms, a large amount of water is accumulated, which seriously threatens the health and ecological development of organisms, so the treatment of wastewater before discharge is very important.
The commonly used treatment method is water treatment ceramsite filter material, which has large specific surface area, high porosity, hard surface and many micropores inside. At the same time, it has the characteristics of large amount of sewage interception, long filtration period, small filtration head loss, and less backwashing water. Due to the large specific surface area and pore size of the filter material, it can remove ammonia nitrogen and chemical oxygen demand from water at the same time. When the pH value is 6-8, the removal effect of ammonia nitrogen is good, and the removal rate reaches 49.8%. After 30 seconds of adsorption, the adsorption equilibrium is reached.
The ceramic particle filter material has good adsorption performance, low production cost, shortens the equilibrium adsorption time, and improves the hydrothermal stability. Therefore, it is increasingly used in the treatment of heavy metals in water, and has broad application prospects in the fields of chemical industry, biomedicine, environmental protection and functional materials. It can be widely used in wastewater treatment in electroplating, dyestuff, papermaking, chemical industry, metallurgy and other industries.
